This online nursing conference is designed for registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, social workers, nursing home administrators, nurse practitioners, and physicians providing care for geriatric patients in acute, long-term, and home care settings.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Identify strategies and services for managing behavioral health issues in the geriatric population
- Outline risk factors, side effects, and considerations in managing medications for the elderly
- Describe cultural and ethical principles when caring for the elderly patient
