LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

• Recognize and properly treat high risk low frequency patients during transport
• Compare differing approaches between the different transport teams
• Identify strengths and best practices from all three Mayo Clinic Ambulance Service groups
• Define concepts of care for pre-hospital and inter-facility patient transport
• Conclude that they are responsible for meeting the standards of care set forth in the patient care guidelines
• Demonstrate competent care of the patient during transport
• Summarize key concepts of each patient diagnosis discussed in case study reviews
• Demonstrate the proper steps in caring for the blunt agonal arrest trauma patient
• Explain the pathophysiology involved in a patient with blunt trauma
