This workshop will include in-depth coverage of acute conditions and decompensated disease states frequently encountered by the hospitalist, presented in a case-based, interactive format
This interactive 4.00 credit workshop will be presented in a hybrid model (in-person or livestream*).

Target Audience
This course is for internists, family medicine physicians, sub-specialists, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and others who practice in or have a special interest in topics throughout internal medicine.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of Updates in Internal Medicine, participants should be able to:
- Summarize various updates and guidelines that impact the practice of internal medicine
- Define post COVID syndrome
- Identify appropriate treatment options for post COVID syndrome
- Recall clinical updates in various cardiovascular conditions
- Recall practice pearls in various cardiovascular conditions
- Summarize medication treatment options for fibromyalgia
- Summarize non-medication treatment options for fibromyalgia
- Recall updates in diabetes medication management strategies

Livestream will use Zoom Webinar. The livestream will be presented as voiceover PowerPoint only, no live camera feed on the presenter.
Interaction will be incorporated using one audience response system for both livestream and in-person audiences. The system will permit the livestream and in-person audiences to submit questions to the presenters. Questions will be summarized and moderated immediately following each presentation.
