Target Audience
This course is designed for neurologists, neurosurgeons, interventional neuroradiologists, primary care physicians, emergency department physicians, neurology residents, vascular neurology fellows and stroke center team members including nurse practitioners, nurses, PAs, physical and occupational therapists and speech therapists.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Recognize the eligibility for intravenous TPA in acute ischemic stroke
- Recognize the signs and symptoms of stroke that prompt emergency evaluation
- Evaluate the data and outcomes of clinical trials for stroke patients
- Describe recent developments in stroke prevention strategies
- Discuss treatment options for cerebrovascular diseases
- Identify modifiable stroke risk factors
- Describe the impact on treatment options for stroke patients
- Recognize endovascular therapy candidates with large vessel occlusion (LVO).

A block of coastal view rooms single/double/triple/quad occupancy is reserved at a special course rate of $359 per night, plus tax, until Monday, September 15, 2024 or until the room block is filled. Check-in time is 4:00 p.m. and check-out time is 11:00 a.m. All parking at the resort is provided by valet service. Overnight parking at the resort is $25 per night.
