19th Annual Practical Course in Dermoscopy & Update on Malignant Melanoma 2024 - General Session with Track B

This three-day course provides attendees a multidisciplinary review of standard of care management practices and state-of-the-art advances in care of the patient with cutaneous malignancy, particularly melanoma, along with squamous cell and basal cell cancer. The first morning session focuses on epidemiology, prevention, pathology, surgical treatment, and advances in systemic therapy for patients with melanoma and squamous cell cancer. The first afternoon session focus on surgery, medical oncology, and introduction to dermoscopy. The last two days are an in-depth immersion into dermoscopy for evaluating skin diseases with a focus on neoplasms. Participants develop practical skills that will enable them to be more comfortable approaching patients with potentially dangerous skin lesions.

Target Audience
The intended audience is dermatologists, surgeons, oncologists, physicians, NPs and PAs in internal medicine, family medicine and general practice.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Recognize pattern analysis for the identification of skin neoplasms.
- Differentiate malignant melanocytic from benign lesions using dermoscopy.
- Describe methods for skin cancer prevention.
- Differentiate non-melanocytic lesions from benign lesions using dermoscopy.
- Assess how to approach and perform skin biopsies.
- Compare biopsy techniques and indications.
- List new technologic advances in the diagnosis of skin cancer, especially advanced skin cancer.
- List new technologic advances in the treatment of skin cancer, especially advanced skin cancer.

A block of rooms at a special group rate of $309 (USD), plus applicable local and state taxes, per night, is available for course participants.

Parking: The current charge for overnight valet parking is $38.00 per day, overnight self-parking is $25.00 per day, daytime valet parking is $15.00 per day, and daytime self-parking is $18.00 per day up to 10 hrs. These rates are subject to change without notice.
Service Charges: There is an additional $12.00 per person, charge to cover round trip porterage and a $2.00 per person, per day, housekeeping gratuity.
