DESCRIPTION
Pharmacy Grand Rounds is a weekly CE offering delivered by pharmacists and postgraduate pharmacy residents to health care professionals that routinely manage the selection and monitoring of medication(s) as part of patient care duties. Each week, speakers provide contemporary updates to pharmacists and other healthcare providers on evidence-based pharmacology topics in a wide array of specialty areas.
TARGET AUDIENCE
This CE session was planned to meet the needs of pharmacists and other clinicians who routinely prescribe and/or monitor medications.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Discuss patient-specific pharmacotherapy for a broad scope of disease states.
- Review evidence-based literature to direct medication best-practices.
- Discuss controversial pharmacology topics and their potential impact on patient care.
- Describe the role of health information technology in the medication use process and the provision of patient-centered care.
EDUCATIONAL FORMAT and CE REQUIREMENTS
This CE session is available as a live presentation, including live webcast.
Participants must complete the following to record attendance and obtain CE credit:
- Attend the entire session.
- Text the session code to 507-200-3010 within 48 hours of the live presentation to record attendance.
- This number is only used for receiving text messages related to tracking attendance
- Employees are encouraged to create a contact in their mobile phone, as the same number is used to record attendance for every session
- Complete the online evaluation for the respective session within 2 weeks of live presentation.
Pharmacist CE credit is electronically transferred to the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy CPE Monitor. To track CE, please go to NABP CPE Monitor.
All other non-pharmacist attendees can print out a record of attendance after completing the evaluation and claiming credit.
