The Mayo Post Acute Care Conference is specifically designed for Mayo Midwest hospital care team members who actively participate in the Mayo Post Acute Care program. This conference features leadership messages and patient stories, showcasing the program’s achievements. Additionally, it provides educational content tailored for providers (including MDs, NPs, PAs, RNs, PTs, OTs, and social workers), addressing common clinical and administrative/process challenges encountered while working in transitional care units.

Target Audience

This course is designed for allied health professionals, nurses, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, physicians, residents, fellows, and social workers.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

• Explain the effect of artificial intelligence in provision of healthcare.
• Identify current and future technological needs for taking care of post-acute care patients at critical access hospitals and beyond.
• Assess and apply varying staffing models to solve staffing needs at critical access hospitals.
• Review current wound care techniques.
• Use motivational interviewing in care of patients with behavioral challenges.
