This one-day program provides hematology and oncology clinicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants, pharmacists, nurses, and fellows in training with an overview of the most recent advances in the treatment of various hematologic malignancies with updates on practice guidelines, based on abstracts and papers from the previous twelve months. Invited speakers choose exciting and relevant abstracts presented at national and international meetings and discuss their clinical relevance to the hematology/oncology practice.
Target Audience
This course is designed for physicians, physician assistants, nurses, nurse practitioners, resident fellows and allied health professionals who have an interest in the field of hematology.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Recognize new treatments and therapies discovered within the results of important disease-specific clinical trials.
- Identify investigational therapeutic regimens that are available as alternatives to standard of care approaches.
- Compare results of studies conducted over the last 12 months in the field of benign and malignant hematology.
